KABB-FOX 29 to televise UTSA-Tulane game

SAN ANTONIO -- The Sinclair Broadcast Group, Nelligan Sports Marketing (NSM) and Roadrunners Sports Network announced Friday that the UTSA/Tulane contest on Nov. 9 will be televised in the San Antonio market on KABB-FOX 29.

The first-ever meeting between the Roadrunners and the Green Wave will be produced by Quarter Moon Productions and is slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff at the Alamodome. Jay Howard (play-by-play), Don Harris (analysis) and Jim Goodman (sidelines) will call the action. All 12 UTSA games this season now are slated to be televised across eight different networks.

"We greatly appreciate the Sinclair Broadcast Group for carrying UTSA football both with this home game against Tulane and the road game at New Mexico," UTSA Athletics Director Lynn Hickey said. "Our program has come a long way in three short years. Playing our first season in Conference USA and having all 12 of our games televised this season is a testament to the tremendous job head coach Larry Coker and his coaches and players have done in establishing the program."

"The management and staff of FOX29, CW35 and News4SA are thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver UTSA football to their fans in San Antonio," FOX 29/CW35 General Manager Dean Radla said. "Our stations are committed to providing quality local programming to our viewers and we consider it a privilege to be associated with the UTSA football program, especially in this first season in Conference USA."

KABB-FOX 29 is available in the San Antonio market on AT&T U-Verse (29/1029 HD), DirecTV (29), DISH Network (29), Grande Communications (11/811 HD), Time Warner Cable (11/111 HD) and over the air (29-1).

UTSA returns 50 letterwinners and a total of 20 starters (10 offense/8 defense/2 kickers) from last year's squad that posted an 8-4 overall record and 3-3 mark in their lone campaign in the Western Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners will open their third campaign at New Mexico on Saturday, Aug. 31, and that game will be televised on KMYS-TV (CW35) beginning with a one-hour pregame show at 6 p.m. Central time.

Both season and single-game (home and away) tickets currently are on sale for the program's first season in Conference USA in 2013. Fans can click here or call (210) 458-UTSA (8872) for more information on purchasing tickets.
