Junior Galette allegedly unloads on Sean Payton on Twitter

By Steve DelVecchio

The New Orleans Saints released Junior Galette on Friday, and the 27-year-old linebacker does not appear to be handling the divorce very well.

Over the weekend, Galette supposedly took over his girlfriend’s Twitter account (he deleted his own after he was cut) and unloaded on his former team and coach. Some of the tweets may have been written by Galette’s girlfriend, but all of the information seemed to come from Junior himself.

Canal Street Chronicles rounded up a bunch of screenshots from the rant. There’s a whole lot going on, but the allegations against Sean Payton stuck out the most.

In a collection of tweets you can see here, Galette (or his girlfriend) accused Sean Payton of showing up to team meetings drunk and being addicted to prescription pills.

The tweets were all over the place and targeted a number of people connected to the Saints. This all came after a report from The Times Picayune that accused Galette of causing serious issues in the New Orleans locker room and getting in a fistfight with Brandon Deaderick before a preseason game.

Payton was the subject of much of Galette’s alleged verbal assault, but he also implied that two former teammates are gay and much, much more. A Reddit user put together some notes for those of you who find the tweets difficult to wrap your brain around.

The Saints had to eat nearly $20 million to cut Galette, so you know there is no love lost between the two sides. Galette was arrested earlier this year for an alleged domestic violence incident at his home (some details here), but it sounds like his release was the result of much more than that incident.
