Julio Jones is heading for the shelf -- what else can go wrong in Atlanta?

By Sid Saraf, FOXsports.com As if things couldn't get any worse. The Falcons didn't just fall to 1-4 with a loss to the Jets on Monday night, they might have lost their star receiver as well. Jay Glazer came through with the breaking news on Monday morning:

Well, that sucks. Seriously, the Atlanta sports scene is suffering. Three anvils fell on their heads on Monday night. First, the Falcons lost yet another game. Then the Braves get eliminated from the MLB postseason by the Dodgers and to top it off, the Hawks lost a preseason game to the Heat. But getting back to the Falcons, the loss of Julio Jones thins out an already emaciated receiving corps. Fellow receiver Roddy White was unable to finish Monday's game with a lingering leg injury. If both are out come Sunday, that leaves the team with Harry Douglas, Drew Davis and 37-year-old tight end Tony Gonzalez. Is it too early to throw in the towel on the season? Questions? Comments?
