Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey land Reebok endorsement deals

Reebok announced on Tuesday that it has signed UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to endorsement deals.

The news comes on the heels of Reebok partnering with the UFC to become the exclusive clothing partner of the promotion with a new uniform policy kicking off in July 2015.

Jones and Rousey will join the Reebok UFC team, which already includes former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks and current lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.

"Not only are Ronda and Jon admired by millions of UFC fans, but they also are among the fittest, most disciplined athletes in the world, and an inspiration to the millions of people around the globe who train like fighters," said Matt O'Toole, president of Reebok. "We're looking forward to working with each of them and tapping into their insight and expertise to create world-class training products and fight gear."

Jones and Rousey will work with Reebok to help design and develop the new UFC line of gear designed for training and fights.

Jones joins Reebok just months after losing his previous endorsement deal with Nike, who created a show and T-shirt line using his name and likeness. Nike worked with Jones as well as former middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos before recently moving out of the MMA market.

Jones also just recently signed a deal with Beats by Dre, one of the most popular lines of headphones sold worldwide. Apple recently purchased the company for about $3 billion.

Jones and Rousey will begin working with Reebok immediately while the rest of the UFC roster will start sporting the clothes in mid-2015.
