Johnson, Dale Jr., Keselowski sound off on ... water bottles
A caution-causing rogue water bottle was a topic of discussion following Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The bottle was spotted by NASCAR officials during a debris caution.
Numerous drivers - including Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. - took to Twitter to discuss the incident. According to Keselowski, chucking a bottle out your window is pretty common.
No. We all do it. Common practice. https://t.co/Z7QxLz2YCS

Empty water bottles don't handle the corners very well. Sometimes fall down on the floor boards and cause trouble. https://t.co/EYGUbSVIfr

About 20 of them on the track at any given time. They aren't harmful but seem to make nascar randomly nervous. https://t.co/uitUuK2XgN

Johnson didn't seem too pleased with the decision to throw the yellow.
We all know a caution shouldn't be thrown for a water bottle... https://t.co/5EPfvqKyVv

Dale Jr. agreed.
Totally agree. Keep it in the car. Toss it during a pit stop. Not all that difficult people. https://t.co/CR1luSSzNh

We're not exactly sure who the offending drivers were. However, this picture seems to let Landon Cassill off the hook.
For those awake and still interested, here's a view of my cockpit and where I keep my bottle. Via carbon bottle cage pic.twitter.com/2DMu1yXpR5

Definitely the most talk we've heard about water bottles in ... probably forever.
