It's been a very busy week for Mr. Clutch.

Jerry West has been presiding over the Northern Trust Golf Tournament at Riviera Country Club (www.northerntrustopen.com for more info), and he was honored with a statue of his Laker likeness in Star Plaza at STAPLES Center, joining Chick Hearn, Magic Johnson, Wayne Gretzky and Oscar De La Hoya in bronze immortality. And then there's the All-Star Game festivities, in which he'll be honored at a pregame brunch, and in turn present an honor to his close friend and former coach Bill Sharman at the same time.

In this second part of our series on West, he talks about the statue unveiling, seasons and All-Star Games past and the complex emotions that have made West into one of the most revered, loved and tortured men in the history of Los Angeles sports.

FOXSportsWest.com: What was it like to finally see yourself in bronze?

West: Well. Like I've said before, I didn't play the game to get a statue. I played for the love of the game, the fans and especially my teammates. My teammates meant everything in the world to me. It was a wonderful ceremony, but I felt a little awkward that one of my closest friends
