Jenkins rallies No. 18 Vandy past Georgia

It happened again Wednesday night as Georgia lost to Vanderbilt 64-56, missing yet another opportunity to gain a much-needed NCAA tournament resume win.

As it has been for most of the season, the first half was full of positives for Georgia. They shot well over the zone defense of the Commodores, even forcing them out of it in the second half. They pushed the ball up the court on fast-break opportunities and kept out of foul trouble. Most importantly, they managed to hold John Jenkins, the SEC's leading scorer, pointless.

Unfortunately for Georgia, NCAA basketball games aren't 20 minutes long.

Jenkins had a miserable first half only to come alive in the second, finishing with 21 points including five from range. All it took was the first bucket to fall and Jenkins was back in the zone.
