Jamaal Charles hurt his foot while carrying a box out of dorm room
It seems that bizarre injuries are normally reserved for Major League Baseball players, but this story is about a football player.
And not just any football player, but a guy who will be taken in the top five of every single fantasy football draft this season.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles missed Sunday night's preseason game against the Panthers because of a foot injury suffered while carrying boxes last week.
Coach Andy Reid gave the details on Monday.
"(Charles) was actually carrying a box down the dorms, and he came down the grassy slope there and just tweaked his foot, rolled his foot over on the curb. It was that simple."
And fans think all athletes are living a life of great luxury.
Fortunately for the player, the Chiefs and people with a high pick in their upcoming fantasy drafts, Charles is expected to be just fine.
"... Initially, there was a little concern," Reid said. "But they got all the stuff done on it, MRIs and all that stuff, so everything is clear."
With all the money NFL organizations make, isn't it time for teams to hire movers so their players don't have to do stuff like this?
