Jaguars to host Steelers, Giants, face Cowboys in London
The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants, among other opponents, in Jacksonville during the 2014 NFL regular season and will also play the Dallas Cowboys in London's Wembley Stadium.
The team's opponents have been established by the league, and dates of the games will be announced in the spring. The Jaguars are currently in London to face the San Francisco 49ers for their first of four home games to be played there in the next four years.
The Jaguars home opponents at EverBank Field next year will be the Steelers, the Giants, the Cleveland Browns, and the AFC East team that finishes in the same place the Jaguars do in the AFC South this season. These are in addition to the Jaguars' three division opponents -- the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
Road games will be at Baltimore, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Washington and an AFC West city, in addition to Houston, Indianapolis and Tennessee.
The Jaguars will mark their 20th season in the NFL in 2014. It will be highlighted by a $63 million upgrade and new enhancements of EverBank Field, including the largest video boards in the world. Construction on the project will begin at end of the current football season and is expected to be completed in July.
"While we're in the middle of the current season and everyone is working hard at improvement and progress, we are excited about the schedule we face next year," Jaguars owner Shad Khan said. "It's a strong schedule from both a competitive standpoint and from a fans’ perspective, and we hope to continue building and improving in both ways."
