J.R. Smith soaks in a night of Indians baseball at Progressive Field

Less than a week from training camp, J.R. Smith and the Cavaliers still haven't come to a contract agreement--but his presence at Progressive Field on Thursday is a positive sign.

Sporting a "Block C" ball cap, the Cleveland fan favorite was in attendance for a "meeting" according to his Instagram.

For now, the free agent guard is enjoying some first place baseball on a free night.

As far as his status goes, however, Smith and the Cavs are reportedly still negotiating terms on a deal.

Training camp starts with the team's first practice, which begins on September 27.
