J.R. Smith sets Cavs single season 3-pt FG record
Entering Tuesday's game with the Milwaukee Bucks, J.R. Smith needed just three 3-pointers to surpass Wesley Person's 192 three-point field goals, set in the 1997-98 season, to become the new Cavaliers single season 3-pt FG record holder.
He didn't waste any time.
In the first quarter Smith hit four three-pointers passing Person as the new franchise leader.

Before Tuesday's game, Smith talked about why he's such a prolific three point shooter with an interesting philosophy on shooting the basketball, "You don't know if you're going to make it if you don't take it."
It isn't hard to understand Smith's passion for the three-pointer when he has his own motto printed on a T-shirt.
