Indians recall pitcher C.C. Lee from Triple-A Columbus

DETROIT -- Before the opening of Friday's four-game series against the Tigers, the Indians officially called up pitcher C.C. Lee to fill the open roster spot that was created on Tuesday when Zach McAllister was optioned to Columbus.

Lee was in the clubhouse on Thursday when Cleveland had an optional workout at Comerica Park.

This is Lee's third stint with the Tribe this season. In his two previous trips (April 2, April 9-May 16) he made 13 appearances and has a 4.76 ERA.

McAllister will be called up on Saturday as the 26th man and start the second game of the doubleheader.
