Iconic ring announcer Howard Finkel celebrates 35 years with WWE

The WWE has had its share of legendary announcers.

Most notable on the list would be Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.

However, one man stands above them all when it comes to iconic pipes and service time with the company.

We are talking about ring announcer Howard Finkel, who is celebrating his 35th anniversary with the WWE on Tuesday.

As any WWE fan knows, there was nothing like Finkel's booming voice announcing a "NEEEEEEW" champion after a title match.

Finkel started with the WWE in 1975 and became a ring announcer in 1976.

Throughout the years, Finkel got involved in storylines, most notably becoming Chris Jericho's valet.

After having his workload reduced over the years, Finkel returned to the 2011 Survivor Series as C.M. Punk's personal ring announcer.

Finkel is so beloved by the WWE Universe that fans hire him to do the introductions at their wedding.
