Grizzlies' Gasol has knee sprain; no timetable for return

In this case, "indefinite" is a good thing.

The Memphis Grizzlies have announced that center Marc Gasol has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL knee sprain — just hours after incurring an injury in his team's Friday loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

There is no set timetable for Gasol's return, even though the All-Star veteran reportedly won't require surgery on his left knee.

Leading up to Friday, Gasol — who's averaging 16.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists this season — had scored in double figures for the Grizzlies' first 11 games.
