Griffin to miss remainder of playoffs, Paul out indefinitely

Things could not have gotten much worse for the Los Angeles Clippers after Tuesday night. The Portland Trail Blazers won their second game in a row to even the series at 2-2, but that appears to be the least of worries for the Clippers after suffering two devastating injuries to their star players in Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, who appear all but done for the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

The Clippers announced Tuesday afternoon that forward Blake Griffin will miss the remainder of the 2016 NBA playoffs with an injury to his left quad tendon, while Chris Paul is out indefinitely after having surgery Tuesday morning to repair a right hand fracture. Paul suffered the injury while playing defense in Monday night's game in Portland. Griffin aggravated an injury that he suffered earlier in the season.

With three games remaining in the series and two of those at home, the Clippers will have to rely on center DeAndre Jordan, shooting guard JJ Redick and sixth man of the year Jamal Crawford to push them past the first round to likely face the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors, who are dealing with injuries themselves.

Game 5 is Wednesday night in Los Angeles at 7:00 PM, live on Prime Ticket and FOX Sports San Diego.
