Griffin moves into fifth on all-time Clippers scoring list

Blake Griffin is moving up the all-time scoring list in Clippers franchise history again.

With a 3-pointer against the Pistons on Monday, Griffin moved into fifth on the all-time scoring list, surpassing Danny Manning. Griffin scored 18 points in the Clippers 113-91 win at Staples Center.

Griffin is just 25, and he's risen up the list rapidly. He even missed his rookie season in 2010 due to surgery to repair a broken left knee cap.

"Wow. How old is he? That says a lot," Rivers said. "There's a lot of jokes to that, too. It says Blake is a great player, No. 1. It's amazing he's fifth at 25, and he missed one year. When you think about that, that's remarkable. Says how great he is. Says other stuff too."

Asked to expand on that other stuff, Rivers laughed and said: "You know what it says? That I played here."

Randy Smith is the Clippers' all-time leading scorer at 12,735 points, while Bob McAdoo is second with 9,434 and Elton Brand third with 9,336. Griffin is in fifth at 7,122.

Griffin wasn't worried about his place on that list.

"(Manning) was a great player for the Clippers and everything, but I'm not really here to do those kind of things," Griffin said. "I honestly didn't even know. My main focus is on these games to be honest."
