Gophers reveal 2013-14 Big Ten hoops schedule

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Big Ten men's basketball schedules were released Wednesday, and the Gophers open conference play at home in 2013.
Minnesota will host the Michigan Wolverines on Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. CT to kick off the Big Ten season. The Wolverines advanced to the NCAA Championship game this past season before losing in the title game to Louisville. 
The Gophers follow the conference opener with another home game Jan. 5 against Purdue before heading on the road to take on Penn State three days later. 
Ohio State comes to Minneapolis on Jan. 16 for an 8 p.m. game on ESPN2, which as of now is one of two nationally televised games currently listed for the Gophers. The other is a Feb. 13 game in Madison against the Wisconsin Badgers, which will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.
Minnesota's final regular-season game before the Big Ten Tournament will be against the Nittany Lions at Williams Arena on either March 8 or March 9. The conference tournament is set to begin on March 13, with the championship concluding on the 16th.
