Gophers' Coffey to have season-ending shoulder surgery
Minnesota Gophers guard Amir Coffey is done for the season.
Head coach Richard Pitino announced Friday that the sophomore will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery after missing a total of 10 games this season, including the last five.
Coffey suffered the injury in early January.
Coffey was a major contributor for the Gophers this season when healthy, averaging 14 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists while playing 31.6 minutes per game.
