Gerald Green agrees to one-year deal with Heat
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Gerald Green has signed his one-year deal to join the Miami Heat.
The team announced the move Thursday night, and Green will make $1.4 million for the coming season. The Heat would be the eighth NBA team that Green plays for, and that doesn't even include his stints in China and Russia.
Green spent the past two seasons in Phoenix, and his move to Miami will reunite him with newly resigned Heat point guard Goran Dragic. Green has averaged 10.2 points in 428 regular-season games with the Suns, Dallas, Boston, Minnesota, Houston, New Jersey and Indiana, mostly coming off the bench.
Green has made 341 shots from 3-point range over the last two seasons, the ninth-most in the NBA during that span.
