Garrett Richards named Opening Day starter for Angels

Garrett Richards has officially been named the Angels' Opening Day starter on Thursday vs. Oakland.

Coverage begins at 12:30p on FOX Sports West and FOX Sports GO.

Richards appeared in only six games in 2017 following the effects of surgery from a torn ligament in his right elbow suffered during the 2016 season.

Richards, 29 and a native of Riverside, owns a 40-34 career record in seven MLB seasons, all with the Angels, and has registered 558 strikeouts with a 3.53 earned run average.
