Gardner sets record as ASU sweeps Oregon St.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Macey Gardner rewrote the Arizona State volleyball freshman season kill record as ASU swpet Oregon State on Thursday night by set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.
 
Gardner tied the school's freshman kill record last weekend against UCLA and moved well past it with eight kills against the Beavers, reaching 483 for the season. Erica Wilson and Nora Tuioti-Mariner added 12 kills each for the Sun Devils, who recorded their ninth sweep of the season. As a team, ASU hit .346 for the match.
 
ASU improved to 17-11 overall and 6-9 in the Pac-12 with the win, while Oregon State fell to 13-14 and 3-12 in conference.
