Marco Gonzales will start Sunday. Seems almost certain now that Garcia will not be on opening day rotation. #STLCards

Garcia, who appeared to be in line for the fifth spot in the rotation, logged 9 1/3 innings over three starts, posting a 1-1 record and a 3.86 ERA.
He has undergone surgery on his left shoulder twice over the past 22 months. The most recent procedure, performed in July 2014 to address symptoms associated with thoracic outlet syndrome, ended his season after seven starts.
