Game 6 win over Avs was highest-rated Wild telecast ever on FS North
Game 6 of the National Hockey League's first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche was the highest-rated Wild telecast ever on FOX Sports North.
The Wild's 5-2 win over the Avalanche on Monday generated a 13.9 household rating in the Minneapolis-St. Paul DMA, according to Nielsen Media Research.
In the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, 17,280 households represent one rating point. That means more than 240,190 households tuned in for Game 6 of the Wild's playoff series vs. Colorado. In addition, the game received a 30 share, which means 30 percent of the viewing audience in the Twin Cities was watching the game.
Monday's rating tops the previous record of 12.7 set last week -- on Thursday, April 24, 2013 -- during Game 4 of the series.
FOX Sports North will televise Game 7 of the series vs. the Avalanche on Wednesday, April 30. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. with a one-hour edition of Wild Live presented by CenturyLink. The game also will be available in Wisconsin on the FOX Sports Wisconsin Alternate Channel.
