Having been drafted in 1998, Francois Beauchemin is a veteran player not only to the NHL itself, but also to the Anaheim Ducks. He started his career with the Ducks partway through the 2005-2006 season, but was then with the Maple Leafs for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons. However, during the 2010-2011 season, he was traded back to the Ducks where he is currently playing as a Defenseman. This season, Beauchemin suffered a broken finger injury and has played in 39 games, scored four goals, and had nine assists.

Francois Beauchemin lives in Southern California with his wife, Marie Claude, and their children, Samuel, Emily, and Cedric. In December 2014, Beauchemin, along with Corey Perry and Clayton Stoner, went on a shopping trip with children who are enrolled at The Wooden Floor; a non-profit that works with 375 underserved children to teach them dance and encourage academic success. Beauchemin also spends most of the off season back in Canada in his hometown of Sorel.  All season long, keep up with Francois Beauchemin and the rest of the Anaheim Ducks right here on FOX Sports San Diego!
