FOX Sports Southeast announces Braves Opening Day coverage plans

ATLANTA -- FOX Sports Southeast announced its extensive Atlanta Braves coverage plans for Opening Day on Monday, April 4. The network will feature over 13 hours of Braves-related content throughout the day, including a special two-hour Braves LIVE! pregame show from Turner Field at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the Braves hosting the Washington Nationals at 4 p.m. ET. A full Opening Day telecast schedule is below:

The expanded Braves LIVE! pregame show, hosted by Jerome Jurenovich (tenth season with FOX Sports Southeast) alongside analysts Nick Green (second season) and Brian Jordan (tenth season), will preview the game against the Nationals and showcase unique content and features including:

• Exclusive interviews with Braves general manager John Coppolella, All-Star Freddie Freeman, closer Jason Grilli and the returning Jeff Francoeur.

• A special feature with new Braves baseball operations special assistant and ten-time Gold Glove Award winner Andruw Jones working on defense with outfielder Ender Inciarte.

• Live coverage of the Opening Day festivities including team introductions, the ceremonial first pitch and the National Anthem.

Additionally, FOX Sports Southeast announced its 2016 regular season telecast team. Chip Caray (13th season) will call the action alongside analyst Joe Simpson throughout the regular season. The 2016 season marks Simpson's historic 25th season in the Braves television booth.

Reporter Paul Byrd (fourth season) will return to provide interviews and in-game updates from the field throughout the season. The FOX Sports regional networks have added an additional game reporter, Kelsey Wingert, who joins the telecast team from KALB-TV in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Additionally, Braves legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Glavine (fifth season) will return to the booth as an analyst for select games and Matt Diaz (third season) will once again provide analysis for select Braves LIVE! pre- and postgame shows.

This season, FOX Sports Southeast is scheduled to air 77 games, mostly Monday-Thursday games. FOX Sports South is scheduled to televise 80 games, mostly Friday-Sunday contests. A full telecast schedule is attached.*
