Thousands are expected to attend Saturday's event at Bayfront Park, the site of the outdoor games. Duluth's Iconic Aerial Lift Bridge horn will signal goals for the two home teams, Duluth Denfeld and Duluth East. The horn is typically used to communicate with approaching ships that need the bridge to lift, but on Feb. 6, it will signal a goal. "We wanted to make Hockey Day Minnesota unique to Duluth, and nothing is more 'Duluth' than our beloved lift bridge," said Jeremy Downs, Director of the Local Organizing Committee. The Lift Bridge operator will have direct radio contact rink personnel.
