FOX Sports Arizona offers 10-plus hours of D-backs programming on opening day
Opening Day for the Arizona Diamondbacks is one of the biggest dates on Arizona’s sports calendar and FOX Sports Arizona is pulling out all the stops to make it even bigger by offering 10½ consecutive hours of D-backs programming on Thursday.
FOX Sports Arizona, which was named a finalist for a Cynopsis Sports Media Award for its coverage of the D-backs, starts the “All Day With The D-backs, Presented by Coors Light” scheduled at noon. #OurSeason: D-backs 2017, a look back at last year’s unforgettable run to the postseason, leads it off and then at 12:30 p.m., the 2018 D-backs season preview show follows. After that, an extended mix of the best offerings from last year’s D-backs original programming lineup will guide fans to a special two-hour Opening Day pregame show.
Beginning at 5 p.m. D-backs Live! Presented by Coors Light takes place from Game 7 Grill on the Chase Field plaza. Featuring Jody Jackson, Mark Grace, Brandon Webb, Kate Longworth, Bob Brenly and Steve Berthiaume, it will get viewers ready for the D-backs & Rockies game that begins at 7:10 p.m. and also showcase the special pregame ceremonies inside Chase Field.
Thursday’s game is the first of 157 FOX Sports Arizona will televise this season, as well as stream on the FOX Sports GO app or FOXSportsGO.com. Immediately after the game ends, D-Backs Live! Presented by Century Link post-game follows to wrap up Opening Day with post-game interviews, highlights and analysis.
Here is the entire programming schedule for Thursday:
Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly return for their seventh season together in the D-backs television booth. Jody Jackson & Todd Walsh, who have a combined 35 years of covering the D-backs for FOX Sports Arizona between them, once again share hosting duties for the network’s pre and post games shows. They are joined by two of the biggest names in D-backs history -- Mark Grace and Brandon Webb -- who return to provide analysis during the D-backs Live! pre- and post-game shows. Kate Longworth also returns to work as a reporter for various series.
