Former NFL QB Brennan joins AFL's LA KISS

Tim Tebow may have never considered a job with the LA KISS, but there's another former Heisman Trophy finalist who's on board with the Arena Football League's new team.

Meet the new face of the LA Kiss ... former NFL quarterback and 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist Colt Brennan.

"We're thrilled to bring such a dynamic and successful quarterback to our team and to our fans," said Schuyler Hoversten, president of LA KISS. "Having a local success story in a key position is great for our fans and I know they'll enjoy watching him play this season at Honda Center."

Brennan, a Mater Dei High School alum, finished his three-year collegiate career at the University of Hawaii leading the NCAA in touchdown passes in a season (58), second in career TD passes (131) and completion percentage (70.4 percent), and sixth in total passing yards (14,193) in addition to 27 other NCAA records.

He was selected in the sixth round of the 2008 draft and spent time with the Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders before joining the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League in 2012.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to get back on the field and play football for the LA Kiss," Brennan said. "I'm looking forward to coming home and playing in front of my family and friends."
