Former ASU receiver Pflugrad joins NAU coaching staff

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Former Arizona State receiver Aaron Pflugrad has joined Jerome Souers' staff at Northern Arizona at wide receivers coach. Pflugrad replaces Tim Plough, who was promoted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Pflugrad comes to NAU after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant with ASU. Pflugrad also played two seasons at ASU after starting his career at Oregon.

He played one season professionally with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

"Aaron brings Pac-12 and professional playing experience with him," Soueers said. "I think that mixed with his go-get-it attitude is just what we need here in Flagstaff. He's going to fit right in on the day-to-day aspects and the recruiting trail."
