Fedora has Heels moving quickly

According to Bryn Renner, UNC coach Larry Fedora can't sit still.

He's intense. His motor is always going. And his offense reflects that.

"After a couple of weeks of spring ball we started getting used to it," said linebacker Kevin Reddick. "But the first week I was exhausted."

Those first couple of weeks were a bit of a culture shock for the Tar Heels. A team used to playing a pro-style offense was now being rushed to the line and sprinting at all times.

"We want to spot the ball and move on to the next play," Renner said. "We weren't huddling up and we were going as fast as we can to snap the ball."

The Tar Heels are used to the tempo after being drilled all spring. They're also finding new ways to stay motivated knowing the end of their season won't end in a Bowl game no matter how hard they play.

"We play for the guy next to you," Renner said. "He's working as hard as you to win football games for the school and be the best he can be so you don't want to let him down."

Fedora has helped motivate the team as well.

"We're playing to win 12 games," Reddick said. "We're going to go out there and be smart, fast, and physical like he wants us to do."

The Heels are undergoing a change in culture and will play with somewhat of a cloud over their heads in 2012,

But given Fedora's mentality, the Heels hope to move on pretty quickly.
