FAU struggles to stop anything in blowout loss to Western Kentucky

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- Mike White passed for 307 yards and three touchdowns, Anthony Wales ran for two scores, and Western Kentucky rolled up 661 total yards in a 52-3 throttling of Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

White found Nicholas Norris for a 76-yard score on the third play from scrimmage. He completed a 54-yard TD pass to Lucky Jackson late in the first quarter, and his 65-yard pass to Taywan Taylor gave the Hilltoppers (6-3, 4-1 Conference USA) a 21-0 lead with 13:51 left in the second quarter.

Taylor's TD grab was the 33rd of his career, tied for fifth all time in Conference-USA history.

Western Kentucky led 24-3 at the half. Scoring runs of 30 and 11 yards from Wales in the third quarter pushed the lead to 38-3. Drew Eckels and Tyler Ferguson also had passing TDs for the Hilltoppers.

Florida Atlantic (1-7, 0-4) did not convert a third down until its final possession of the game.
