Fantasy Football Week 6 DFS suggestions

In last week's DraftKings DFS contest, CarnacDaMagnificent was the victor. That entry produced 208 DK points and was led by Ben Roethlisberger (33.2), Sammy Coates (34.9), and Martellus Bennett (30.7).

QB: Alex Smith, Chiefs ($5,700)

If Cam Newton were 100 percent healthy, he'd be the play. However, with Newton dealing with a concussion, I'll turn to a cost-saving option in Smith. Sure, he isn't a name who gets fantasy players excited, but the Raiders are allowing 330.6 passing yards per game (most in NFL). Also, Smith is the 19th-most expensive quarterback from the player pool.

RB: Le'Veon Bell, Steelers ($7,900)

We're already saving money with Smith, so let's add the most expensive running back. The Dolphins are allowing an average of 150.8 rushing yards per game. Last week, DeMarco Murray ran for 121 yards against Miami. Bell is getting more involved in the passing game, too. In his first two games, he has 14 receptions for 122 yards. Perfect for DraftKings' PPR scoring format.

WR: Sammie Coates, Steelers ($4,700)

There are a handful of receivers under $5K who are extremely tempting: Chris Hogan, Cameron Meredith, Tajae Sharpe, and Coates. Expect Coates to be heavily owned after his six-catch, 139-yard, two-TD performance last week. I know that winning in DFS, especially in tournaments, is all about being different. However, with his price tag still low, it would be foolish to go against the pack on this one. The Dolphins are banged up and the Steelers will look to pour on the points for the third straight game.

TE: Delanie Walker, Titans ($5,500)

Last week, Martellus Bennett scoree three touchdowns against the Browns. In Week 4, Jordan Reed scored twice facing Cleveland. In Week 2, Dennis Pitta had 102 receiving yards against them. I'll take Walker, who has scored twice in the past three games and has tallied at least 17.6 DK points in two of the past three matchups, as well.

D/ST: Buffalo Bills ($3,700)

San Francisco is turning to Colin Kaepernick, so I'm turning to his opposing defense. The 49ers have to travel across the country and play at 1 p.m. in a colder/rainy environment. Also, the Bills defense has scored at least 15 DK points in three consecutive weeks.
