Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Pitchers: August 29-September 4

For some, this is the final week of the fantasy baseball regular season. In order to lock-in those playoff spots, take advantage of the two-start arms by checking out the complete list of starting pitchers with double-duty this week.

Cream of the crop:

Jake Arrieta, CHC (vs. PIT, vs. SF)

Since the All-Star break, Arrieta has been stellar. He is 4-1 with a 2.47 ERA. For the entire 2016 season, Arrieta is 6-3 with a 2.18 ERA at Wrigley Field. Both of his starts are at home this week.

Carlos Martinez, STL (@ MIL, @ CIN)

He's allowed one earned run in back-to-back outings and has struck out at least five batters in three of the last four games. He has two dominant starts against the Brewers already this year: 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA with 19 Ks in 13 innings of work.

Johnny Cueto, SF (vs. ARI, @ CHC)

Like Martinez, Cueto has allowed one earned run in back-to-back starts, too. At home, Cueto is 6-2 with a 2.63 ERA. He's started three games against the Diamondbacks this season, too. Cueto is 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA and notched a K per inning (21).

Potential bargains:

Dan Straily, CIN (@ LAA, vs. STL)

He hasn't lost a start since July 8th and has allowed two earned runs or less in each game since that defeat. Straily has also struck out at least five batters in three straight performances.

Matt Wisler, ATL (vs. SD, @ PHI)

This is a huge risk, but Wisler had a great outing in his last start: 8 IP, 1 ER, and 4 Ks against Arizona. For his two starts, Wisler will face a team with the worst team batting average in the past week (.195 AVG for San Diego) and the fewest runs scored (15 runs for Philadelphia).

Avoid at all costs:

James Shields, CWS (@ DET, @ MIN)

You must stack your DFS lineups against Shields whenever he takes the hill. He's allowed at least four earned runs in five consecutive outings. In 2016, Shields is 1-6 with a 7.22 ERA on the road, too.

Andrew Albers, MIN (@ CLE, vs. CWS)

The Indians have scored the fourth-most runs against lefties this season. After a tough series in Texas, Cleveland will look to bounce-back against a team they need to beat if they want any chance at a postseason berth.
