Fantasy 15 Podcast: Fantasy Baseball Advice for June 30

The much-anticipated return of Jose Fernandez is nearly here. The young Miami Marlins ace will make his season debut Thursday against the San Francisco Giants after undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2014. Fox fantasy owners are primed and waiting, with Fernandez already owned in nearly 90 percent of leagues.

Forget about giving Fernandez a game or two to shake the rust off. In the latest edition of the Fantasy 15, John Halpin and Ryan Fowler advocate starting him right away. With a 2.25 ERA in 36 career starts, Halpin and Fowler think he'll hold his own against the Giants.

The outlook for Josh Hamilton is less rosy, however. Despite an ownership rate that's approaching 30 percent and a clean bill of health, Fowler doesn't see Hamilton making huge waves in fantasy. Similarly, he's not buying the hot start of Cleveland Indians rookie Cody Anderson, who's allowed one run in 15.2 innings of work.

Halpin and Fowler also discuss their daily fantasy lineups for June 30th, debating the merits of Chris Sale, Marco Estrada, Andrew Heaney, Cesar Hernandez, Jordy Mercer, Rougned Odor, Josh Phegley, Dexter Fowler and Joey Gallo.
