FalconsCast: Defense in havoc as Falcons look ahead at tough schedule

Losing to the Minnesota Vikings was bad. But how it happened was even worse.

The Atlanta Falcons held a one-point lead with 91 seconds left in the third quarter on Sunday in Minnesota. The Vikings then rattled off 14 unanswered points to win 41-28.

Rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater moved the ball efficiently, and rookie running back Jerick McKinnon was nearly unstoppable. The duo accounted for a combined 469 yards against the Falcons. Minnesota's offense totaled 558 yards on the day.

Atlanta also was forced to deal with injuries.

Strong safety William Moore left the game with a shoulder injury, and offensive linemen Lamar Holmes, Justin Blalock and Joe Hawley all were forced out with injuries.

There were so may injuries across the offensive line, tight end Levin Toilolo was called upon to play right tackle.

With injuries mounting, and a defense that's struggling, how will the Falcons fare over a very tough four-game stretch that sits ahead of the team?

(Editor's note: This Falconscast was recorded a few hours prior to the Falcons announcing they had placed Holmes and Hawley on injured reserve, and Moore on injured reserve-designated to return.)
