Falcons have funny response to 49ers reportedly playing Gabbert vs. 'weak' D
The scribe who first reported the news that the San Francisco 49ers were benching Colin Kaepernick for backup Blaine Gabbert, Kyle McLorg, also noted that the timing was such that Gabbert could debut at home "against a weak Falcons defense."
McLorg, who writes for Bay Area Sports Guy, added for context that "I'm not saying they are weak, but the source said the team feels they're weaker than the Rams."
By the way, today (Tuesday) is Kaepernick's birthday.
