Dwight Howard loses to Rockets mascot in halfcourt shooting contest

Dwight Howard wowed fans in the 2008 NBA Slam Dunk Contest with his "Superman" slam.

On Tuesday, he lost an over-the-back halfcourt shot match with the Houston Rockets' mascot, Clutch the Bear.

Clutch proved to be just that as the two were having a little fun during warmups before the Rockets' game against the Boston Celtics.

After making the shot, Clutch even gave Howard a pat on the rear.

At least Howard's attempt wasn't an airball.

Hopefully for Howard, Clutch won't want to get into a free throw shooting contest.
