Ducks goalie John Gibson named First Star of Week ending Dec. 6

The Ducks have themselves a star on goal!

We already knew that, but on Monday, the NHL honored Anaheim's John Gibson.

John Gibson, who posted a 3-1-0 record with a 0.76 goals-against average, was named the NHL's First Star of the Week ending Dec. 6. Gibson also recorded two shutouts to help the Ducks (11-12-5, 27 points) to four place int the Pacific Division.

The 22-year-old Gibson owns a 20-10-1 record in 33 career NHL appearances.

The other two NHL stars were Shea Weber (D, Nashville) and Mike Cammalleri (LW, New Jersey)

The Ducks host the Hurricanes on Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket.
