Drummond, Prince expected to play for Pistons Tuesday

Andre Drummond and Tayshaun Prince are both expected to play Tuesday against Memphis, despite injuries sustained Saturday night in Utah.

Drummond suffered a concussion in the first half of Detroit's 10th straight loss and missed the second half of the game, while Prince was hampered for much of the fourth quarter with a hip pointer.

Neither player took part in contract drills during Monday's light practice, but Stan Van Gundy told reporters that he anticipates both of them to be available against the Grizzlies.

"We just didn't want (Drummond) to have contact, so he did the first 15 minutes (of practice) without contact," Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy told media members. "He should be able to play tomorrow. He passed all the tests."

Prince spent time shooting 3-pointers after his teammates practiced, and also plans to play. The Pistons will need all the help they can get against Memphis, which currently holds the second seed in the Western Conference.
