Did Michigan St. fans retaliate by painting Wolverine statue green?

It appears that Michigan State fans may have retaliated.

According to Michigan student Nate Elliott, a senior in industrial and operations engineering, a small wolverine statue on the north campus was painted green and white overnight.

The statue is a good 15 minutes from Michigan Stadium.

The act comes the day after Michigan State’s Magic Johnson statue was vandalized — supposedly by Michigan fans.

It seems this was inevitable, especially after it was reported early Friday morning that there was an attempt to vandalize Michigan State’s other famous landmark, the Spartan statue.

Saturday should be fun.
