Derby hopeful Far From Over sidelined because of leg injury
Kentucky Derby hopeful Far From Over has been sidelined with a leg injury and is off the Triple Crown trail.
The 3-year-old trained by Todd Pletcher was scheduled to run in Saturday's Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack on Saturday. But a fractured left rear leg was found following a workout in Florida over the weekend.
Far From Over won the Withers at the Big A and was among the leading contenders for the Derby on May 2.
The announcement was made Tuesday by the racing manager for the owners of the horse.
