Darryl Sutter agrees to multi-year contract with LA Kings

Darryl Sutter agreed to a multi-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, the team announced in a release.

Sutter, the 24th coach in Kings history, recently completed his five season (fourth full) with the franchise.

In his short tenure, the Kings have won two Stanley Cups while Sutter became the fastest Kings coach to reach 100 victories (in 183 games).

"It was clearly an easy decision," said Sutter on a conference call with reporters. "(I) wasn't interested in going elsewhere."
