Danny Santana headed to DL; Twins recall Kepler

The Minnesota Twins have recalled outfielder Max Kepler from Triple-A after Danny Santana strained a hamstring Saturday.

Kepler was the 2015 MVP of the Double-A Southern League, hitting .322 (131-for-407) with 32 doubles, 13 triples, nine home runs and 71 RBI in 112 games for the Chattanooga Lookouts. He appeared in three games for the Twins in 2015, going 1-for-7 (.143).

Santana was injured while fielding a fly-ball in centerfield in the sixth inning Saturday at Kansas City.
