Curt Schilling: 'I would love to be President of the United States'
Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling has high hopes for his political career as he contemplates running for U.S. Senate against Elizabeth Warren.
“I would love to be sitting in the Oval Office as the President of the United States,’’ Schilling tells USA Today. “Because I know and believe in the virtue of this country.”
“I’m thinking Senate first,’’ he adds. “But let’s put it this way, this is a country where I can think about (being president), and I like that. I really like that.’’
Could Schilling run for president?
Let's take a look at the qualifications for the Office of the President.
Natural born citizen? As far as we know.
Citizen of the United States? Yes.
35 years old? 49.
14 year resident within the United States? Nine years with the Phillies, four years with the Diamondbacks, four years with the Red Sox, three years with the Orioles and one year with the Houston Astros.
Sadly, there's a chance he can try to make this happen.
