Cubs' Bryant, Rizzo launch Instagram to document 'Grandpa' David Ross' last season

The Chicago Cubs are among the favorites to win the World Series this season, which would end the team's century-long-plus curse, and also send out 38-year-old backup catcher David Ross in style.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon called Ross, a career backup catcher who has decided to retire after this season, a legitimate clubhouse leader.

"In spite of not hitting .275 or better, he still maintains the stature within the clubhouse because of the respect people have for him and how he goes about his business," Maddon told the Sun Times. "And when he says something, it’s pertinent. It’s good. It’s right on. He’s a different animal.”

Speaking of animals, young guns Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo will be following "Grandpa Ross" around, chronicling his finale with a dedicated Instagram account. Check out the initial photos they posted:
