Crash involving Lehigh University rowing team's bus kills 1
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) An accident involving a car and a bus carrying members of an eastern Pennsylvania university rowing team has killed one person. The bus flipped over, but no major injuries to students have been reported.
The crash involved a Lehigh University bus and happened Tuesday evening on a highway near the Lehigh-Northampton county line.
University spokeswoman Lori Friedman says there were no major injuries to the 20 students on the men's and women's crew team or to university personnel. She says the students have been taken to hospitals for evaluation.
She says there was one fatality reported involving the other vehicle.
The county coroner's office was called to the scene. State police are trying to find out what caused the accident.
The university says its thoughts are with the students and the other people involved in the accident.
