Coyotes to unveil name for Tucson affiliate on June 18

GLENDALE -- The Arizona Coyotes are scheduled to announce the new team name and logo for their AHL affiliate at an open house unveiling in Tucson June 18 at the Tucson Convention Center.  

Fox Sports Arizona's Jody Jackson is slated to serve as the emcee for the ceremony.

Fans who attend the unveiling will have an opportunity to take part in fan activities, including a chance to take a shot against an NHL goalie at the virtual slap shot experience, interact with Howler and members of the Paw Patrol and kids 12 and under can play ball hockey on the event floor.

Season ticket holders can also secure their memberships and seats for the upcoming season at the Tucson Convention Center Arena.

The Coyotes launched a contest called "Name the Team" on May 17 and voting concluded on May 31. The winner will be announced at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

Prizes will also be given out during the unveiling, including season tickets, a Tucson jersey and a 12-person suite to a 2016-17 Arizona Coyotes regular season home game.
