Coyotes call up goaltender Treutle from Springfield

The Arizona Coyotes have recalled goalie Niklas Treutle (troyt-LAY) from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Treutle has a 9-11-5 record with a .909 save percentage and 2.91 goals against average in 26 games with the Falcons. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound native of Nuremberg, Germany, signed with the Coyotes in July after posting a 20-10-0 record with a .923 save percentage and 2.06 GAA in 30 games last season in Germany.

Treutle will serve as backup to Louis Domingue as a result of the injury suffered Monday by Anders Lindback.
