Coyotes assign Steve Downie to Springfield

Arizona Coyotes general manager Don Maloney announced Monday that the Coyotes have assigned forward Steve Downie to the Springfield Falcons, the club's American Hockey League affiliate. The 28-year-old Downie has three goals and three assists in 25 games with the Coyotes this season.
