Cowboys to honor Jerry Brown Jr. on Sunday

The Dallas Cowboys will honor Jerry Brown Jr. on Sunday by wearing a special sticker on their helmets when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL.com confirms Saturday.

The Dallas Morning News reported Friday that the team sent in a request to the league asking for permission to honor the linebacker, who was involved in a fatal car accident last Saturday.

The sticker will have his number, 53, on it and will be worn by every Cowboys player.

Last Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cowboys kept Brown's No. 53 jersey hanging on a sideline bench to honor him.

Teammate Josh Brent, who was driving the vehicle, has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter in connection to the accident.
